CLvFFie Awards canceled

      After seven years of presenting the CLvFFie (pronounced "cliffy") Awards, the Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation has canceled this year's Nov. 22 event. The CLvFFies recognize individuals and groups who make a difference in the arts, education, healthcare, public safety, youth leadership, business and other areas.

      The Calabasas Environmental Commission is taking entries for the annual environmentally themed drawing contest, "Benefits of Paper Recycling," open to students in elementary and middle schools. Drawings must be handcreated on 8½-by-11-inch format in landscape (horizontal) orientation. Submissions are due by Nov. 3.
