BILL SPARKES/Acorn Newspapers TO THE HOUSE—Westlake High tailback Justin Lilley brushes off a would-be tackler en route to scoring the first touchdown of the game against Saugus in Week 2. WHS lost, 42-40. Oak Park (1-1) at Newbury Park (2-0)

Outlook: Get ready for threeto-seven yards and a cloud of FieldTurf. This matchup features two teams that want to pound the football on the ground.

NPHS junior tailback Cameron Roberson did great filling in for injured Chris Brown last week by rushing for 201 yards and finding pay dirt four times during the Panthers' 44-14 mauling of Rio Mesa.

Brown is expected to miss a few more games with a back injury.

One week after escaping with a close win over Grace Brethren, Oak Park was drilled by Royal, 41-7. More concerning for Oak Park should be the team's rush defense, which allowed 216 yards on the ground to Royal. Things won't get any easier this Friday.

Hart (1-1) at Westlake (1-1)

Outlook: Through the first two games of the season, one thing is abundantly clear: Westlake can put points on the scoreboard.

In dropping a 42-40 shootout at home to Saugus in Week 2, the Warriors rolled up 635 yards of total offense, including 388 passing yards from senior quarterback Ben Conlin.

Defensively, however, WHS wasn't good against Saugus. The Centurions put up 468 yards of offense despite having a few other big plays negated by penalties.

Hart, which traditionally fields a high-powered offense, has only scored 22 combined points in its first two games.

The Indians are coming off a 16-0 victory over Righetti.
