Candidates' forum set for Oak Park
School board, MAC and sanitation district candidates invited
Voters facing decisions in the races for Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council, Oak Park Unified School District Board of Education and Triunfo Sanitation District Board of Directors have the opportunity to see and hear the candidates in an election forum sponsored by the nonpartisan Community Foundation for Oak Park. All candidates on the ballot for each office have been invited to attend, along with supporters and opponents of the proposed Measure R school bond. The Forum will begin at 7:30 p.m., Tues., Oct. 14 in Room G-9 at Oak Park High School, 899 Kanan Road, Oak Park. To reach the forum, drive into the main entrance of the high school at Kanan and Doubletree Roads and make an immediate left to find parking. Signs will provide direction. Questions regarding the Forum, including the policies governing its format, may be directed to Forum past-president David Ross at (818) 889-7078. The Community Foundation for Oak Park is a nonprofit organization which oversees a variety of Oak Park organizations, organizes volunteers, and provides grants in support of the community.
