New VICA chief speaks

The Agoura /Oak Park/ Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a breakfast at 8 a.m. Wed., Oct. 1 at the Calabasas Country Club, 4515 Park Entrada.

The event will feature Stuart Waldman, new president of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association. Waldman has served as an aide to former Speaker of the State Assembly Bob Hertzberg and recently ran for state Assembly.

Roberto Barrigan, president of the Valley Economic Development Corporation, will speak on how to get business loans quickly. Richard Leyner of NAI Capital Commercial real estate and director of the United Chambers of Commerce will also attend.

Accountant moves to Westlake Village

Ernst & Young accountants relocated their Woodland Hills operations to Westgate Park Place in Westlake Village.

The five-year lease includes nearly 7,500 square feet of office space. The firm will have approximately 65 professionals in its Westlake Village location.

"We're excited to become part of the Westlake business community," said Peter Griffith, vice chair and area managing partner for the Ernst & Young Pacific Southwest area.

The accounting firm employs 130,000 workers worldwide.

Wine store pops the cork in Calabasas
