Branching out

TO THE POINT—A car belonging to Craig and Diane Heinberg is destroyed by an oak tree that fell recently. The family lives on Chesebro Road in Old Agoura. Nobody was injured. It's not known whether the tree fell because it was diseased or because of some other factor. Beetles and fungi can also contribute to the death of an oak tree. The decline of an oak tree usually takes several years, but when it falls, it falls hard.
