Macy's finishes Oaks remodel

Macy's has announced the completion of its two stores, Macy's Women's Store and Macy's Men's and Home store, at The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks.

The store will host a daylong celebration on Sat., Sept. 20 in honor of the remodel completion.

Activities include an INC fashion show at 2 p.m., a disc jockey from KROQ starting at 2 p.m., and live music all day. Children can receive a free balloon.

The remodel includes new flooring, lighting and paint, and expanded departments. Customers will see an increased selection of merchandise in both stores.

"We are delighted to introduce some new collections to our Conejo customers," said Mark Santiago, Macy's vice president and Thousand Oaks store manager. "In addition, customers will have a new access to the women's store, as the mall has completed a bridge directly from the new parking structure."

The handbag department will now include CK Handbags, Michael Kors, Makowski, Ed Hardy and Lacoste. Macy's will launch three new women's ready-to-wear lines including DKNYC, BCBG Generation and a New Contemporary Collection.

Men's Impulse has added new designers to the roster, including Ed Hardy, Tommy Hilfiger and MEK Jeans. The women's shoe salon has also added new vendors.
