Take the family to a magic show

Evan Gary Productions will present two magic shows at the Scherr Forum Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. in October.

The Magic and Comedy Tour will be held Sat., Oct. 18. The show will feature performers Don Reed, Jack Kalvin, Dennis Blair and Austin Brooks.

•Reed has appeared on HBO, "The Cosby Show," "A Different World" and in "Bee Movie Shorts."

•Kalvin is a juggler who has appeared on "NCIS," "Days of Our Lives," "The Drew Carey Show" and "Beverly Hills 90210."

•Blair has opened for George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, Jackie Mason, The Beach Boys, Gloria Estefan and Tom Jones.

•Brooks has performed in Las Vegas and colleges across the country.

Tickets are $48 for floor seats and $44 for upper level seats.

The Magic and Comedy Tour Tricks and Treats show will be held at 2 p.m. Sun., Oct. 26. The show is suitable for all ages and will feature performers Dan Birch, Farrah Siegel, Dana Daniels and Barry Diamond.

•Birch is an illusionist whose act includes technology, laser lights and live animals.

•Siegel is a magician and yoyo champion who has appeared on the Disney Channel.

•Daniels was awarded the 2007 Stage Magician of the Year award from the Magic Castle in Hollywood.

•Diamond is an actor, singer and stand-up comedian who has appeared on "Friends," "Seinfeld" and "The Tonight Show."

Tickets are $45 for adults and $35 for children ages 12 and under.
