Woman lauded for success

Naomi Finkel, a Westlake Village entrepreneur, will be inducted into the Temple University Gallery of Success for her contribution to education and business during ceremonies on Sept. 25 at the school's College of Education.

While teaching for the Los Angeles Unified School District, Finkel became an award-winning educational writer creating films and textbooks for the classroom. Her clients included Prentice Hall, Disney Educational Media, Barr Films and Instructor Curriculum Materials. Her presentation will be "The Journey from Educator to Entrepreneur."

In 1982, Finkel founded Say It With Words, an agency specializing in marketing strategies and corporate communications. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Westlake Village and the American Association of University Women. During Finkel's address at her alma mater in Philadelphia she will discuss how her training as an educator gave her the ability to motivate people to become successful in their chosen fields.
