Village plan needs public input

What happened to the public planning process of Agoura Village? Meetings held years ago invited everyone to participate.

Now the city of Agoura has developer's plans in hand—why aren't they having a community meeting? Embarrassed they want to allow blasting of the natural landscape, and a dense development with first floor shops, second floor office, and third floor apartments over a million square feet of development, all in a sensitive part of natural landscape, turning Agoura into a Van Nuys?

Honestly, the redevelopment of the Wizzin's property looks good, but the proposed Cornerstone development and the two other giant ones they are planning will forever mar Agoura Road and make traveling Kanan in any direction that much more of a frustrating nightmare.

If the city is going to allow all of this, shouldn't the public be involved, and get a community pool or something out of the deal? My question is, why am I one of the only ones to see the plan?

If you care about our town, please call Agoura City and leave a message to be on the mailing list for Agoura Village, and ask for a public meeting—(818) 5977316 or (818) 597-7300. Thank you. Mary Altmann Agoura Hills
