Oktoberfest offers tons of family fun
Hayride included with entry
The 22nd annual Rotary Club of Newbury Park Oktoberfest will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat., Sept. 27 and Sun., Sept. 28 at Underwood Family Farms between Thousand Oaks and Moorpark off the 23 Freeway at the Tierra Rejada exit. Entertainment will be provided by the 20member German American Brass Band, the dance and musical group Tanze de Gemutlichen Schuhplattler, the L.A. Blue Birds, the Spirit Cloggers and Accordian Fruende. The event will also include audience-participation contests for the best Bavarian costumes and stein-holding. Cost is $10. Children ages 2 and under are free. A hayride is included with each entry, and parking is free. Tickets are available online at a $1 discount. For more information, visit www.nprotary.org. |
