Oak Park youths needed for Teen Council

The Oak Park Community Center, Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is seeking interested youths to serve on the Oak Park Teen Council for a oneyear term ending June 30, 2009.

The Teen Council consists of seven to 11 Oak Park teens entering grades seven through 12 in the fall. One representative is selected from each grade, and the remaining members are representatives at large.

All representatives must be Oak Park residents or enrolled in an Oak Park school.

Members typically do not serve for more than two years.

The Teen Council will meet one to two times per month beginning in the middle of September and will assist the recreation coordinators with planning and implementing teen programs.

Applications are available at Medea Creek Middle School, Oak Park High School, Oak View School, Independent School, Oak Park Library, The Oak Park Community Center and online at www.srpd.org.

Applications must be submitted to the Oak Park Recreation Center by 5 p.m. Wed., Sept. 17.
