Lost Hills blaze caused by teens
      Two 15-year-old boys admitted to Lost Hills Sheriff's deputies that they accidentally started the blaze Aug. 26 that consumed about 100 acres of brush land between Liberty Canyon and Lost Hills roads in Agoura Hills and Calabasas.

      Agoura Hills A person whose wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 29000 block of Agoura Road Aug. 17 reported that thieves used his bank card to make fraudulent purchases. The victim said fortunately the charges were reversed by the bank.

      The Aug. 28 Sheriff's Blotter listed three burglaries as occurring in Westlake Village. They did not. Break-ins listed at Pansy Drive and Jameson Drive were in the city of Calabasas and a theft on Craftsman Road was in an unincorporated part of Los Angeles County.

Jewel thieves strike in Westlake Village
      SCENE OF THE CRIME— Deputies investigate an armed robbery that occurred Aug. 20 at Kirk's Jewelers in Westlake Village. Thieves wearing hooded sweatshirts intercepted a delivery of gemstones and fled in a green minivan, authorities said. The car above suffered damage. The suspects were described as Hispanic males in dark clothing.
