Museum to remember Battle of Midway

World War II aircraft displays and vintage planes rides part of the daylong event

The Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum will host a Battle of Midway commemoration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., Sept. 6 at the museum, 455 Aviation Drive, Camarillo.

The event will include World War II airplane displays, museum displays and special exhibits, World War II airplane cockpit photo opportunities, rides in World War II yellow SNJ U.S. Navy trainer and yellow-and-blue PT-19 U.S. primary trainer, 1940s car displays, a gift shop and refreshments.

At 1 p.m. retired U.S. Army Col. James Hinckley will give a speech about the battle. Flyovers are scheduled for 2 p.m.
