Keillor to appear at Pepperdine

Pepperdine University Center for the Arts will present "An Evening with Garrison Keillor" at 8 p.m. Wed., Sept. 24 at the Malibu campus' Smothers Theatre, 24255 Pacific Coast Hwy., Malibu.

Keillor is the host of the daily radio and online program "The Writer's Almanac," and "A Prairie Home Companion," and is the author of 12 books, including "Lake Wobegone Days," "Love Me," and "Homegrown Democrat."

Keillor has received numerous awards, including a Grammy Award for his recording of "Lake Wobegone Days," two Cable ACE Awards and a George Foster Peabody Award. In 1994 he was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame at Chicago's Museum of Broadcast Communications.
