Ticket to ride

After reading the three complaints regarding the Kanan interchange and traffic signal, I would like to inform the residents about the parking violation agent patrolling the Park and Ride located at the interchange.

My wife's car was ticketed at the Park and Ride for, of all things, having a clear Plexiglas cover over the front license plate. The ticket was issued under Code 5201, which clearly states that a license plate security cover to protect it from the weather and elements does not constitute a violation of the code as long as it does not impair the recognition of the license plate information.

The ticketing agent knows full well that the person receiving the ticket will not take the time to fight a $25 ticket. It will cost $10 even if you win the appeal.

This practice is immoral, unjustified and just plain highway robbery committed by a public servant. What next? John Monteleone Agoura Hills
