City Council changes monthly meeting dates

The Calabasas City Council has changed its regular meeting days to the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, effective immediately.

Councilmember James Bozajian will be serving as an officer for the California Contract Cities Association, which comprises member cities that contract for major municipal services, such as public works, building and safety, and police and fire services.

The association meets the first Wednesday of every month and has activities planned for many of the third Wednesdays of each month as well.

"Obviously, if there's someone with a problem with the scheduling of an individual meeting, this will come first and I'll miss the Contract Cities meeting," Bozajian said. "That's not going to be a problem."

All the council members supported the change, voting unanimously.

The next City Council meeting will be Sept. 10 at the new City Hall, 100 Civic Center Way.
