Sheriff's Dept. DUI checkpoint in Agoura on Friday

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will conduct a driver's license/DUI checkpoint from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. tomorrow, Fri., Aug. 22, in Agoura Hills.

DUI checkpoints are conducted to get offenders off the street and to educate the public on the dangers of impaired driving.

The sheriff 's department says depending on conditions, all vehicles may be checked and drivers who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be arrested.

The public is encouraged to help keep roadways safe by calling 911 if they suspect a driver is impaired.
