Youth volleyball league taking sign-ups
      The United States Youth Volleyball League is accepting registration for the fall 2008 season. The league will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturdays from Sept. 9 to Nov. 1 at Chaparral Elementary School, 22601 Liberty Bell Road.

Middle, high school students wanted
      The Oak Park Community Center, which is part of the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, is seeking interested people to serve on the Oak Park Teen Council for a oneyear term ending June 30, 2009. The Teen Council consists of seven and to 11 Oak Park teens entering grades seven to 12 in the fall.
