Cabrillo auditions singers for 'King and I'

Cabrillo Music Theatre will hold auditions for "The King and I" in August.

The Rodgers and Hammerstein play will include The Small House of Uncle Thomas Ballet.

Performances will be Oct. 17 through 26.

Rehearsals begin Sept. 8 for children and ballet performers, Sept. 22 for Equity and other performers.

Equity auditions will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon., Aug. 11 at Madilyn Clark Studios, 10852 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood.

Nonunion auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sat., Aug. 9, from 1 to 9 p.m. Sun., Aug. 10 and from 5 to 11 p.m. Tues., Aug. 12 at Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. These auditions will include a ballet call and a children's call.

All auditions are by appointment only. Auditioners should bring a headshot and resume. All roles are open, and there's pay for all roles.
