Catholic women plan brunch

The Magnificat Ministry to Catholic women will meet for a prayer brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., Aug. 23 at Odyssey Restaurant, 15600 Odyssey Drive, Granada Hills.

The speaker will be Linda Schubert, best-selling author of "The Miracle Hour," who will share how she felt God's grace carried her through breast cancer, divorce, family related suicide and mental illness.
