Called to the Torah

The following young people recently became bar or bat mitzvah at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks.

•Alyssa Scott was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on June 14. Alyssa will be an eighth-grade honor student at Medea Creek Middle School. She is the daughter of Julie and Gary Scott of Oak Park.

•Michael Miller was called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on June 21. He has just completed seventh grade at Kadima Heschel West Middle School. Michael is the son of Gillian and David Miller of Agoura Hills.

•Pamela Brutzkus was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on June 28. Pamela will be in eighth grade as an honor student at Lindero Canyon Middle School. She is the daughter of Beverly and Mark Brutzkus of Westlake Village.

•Ethan Brutzkus was called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on June 28. Ethan will be an eighth-grade honor roll student at Lindero Canyon Middle School. He is the son of Beverly and Mark Brutzkus of Westlake Village.
