CHANGING OF THE GUARD—Westlake Village Junior Women's Club outgoing co-presidents Leslie Adams and Candi James, right, welcome the club's new co-presidents Roselle Wolfe and Roubina Coleman during a recent installation dinner at the Westlake Village Inn. The Westlake Village Junior Women's Club recently welcomed 26 new members to the organization and introduced the incoming 2008-2009 board members.

Outgoing co-presidents Leslie Adams and Candi James, who had held the position for two years, welcomed the new co-presidents, Roselle Wolfe and Roubina Coleman. The pair introduced the new board members and thanked the outgoing board, along with the general membership, for disbursing more than $64,000 to local Conejo Valley charities during the club's fiscal year.

The evening concluded with the annual Junior of the Year ceremony. This year's honor was given to Brooke MacLean and Kelly Sarac for their four years of "inspiring" leadership and recent two-term position as covice presidents of membership.

"We are extremely proud to have Brooke and Kelly as leaders in our organization," said Coleman. "Their energy and enthusiasm is contagious and the entire Conejo Valley has benefitted from their dedication to the needy of our community."

The Westlake Village Junior Women's Club was established in 1968 and has been providing community service to the Conejo Valley ever since. Membership is open to all women from the greater Conejo Valley area. Members regularly volunteer their time for Meals on Wheels, the organization that helps feed local residents in need.

In 20072008, the club disbursed funds to numerous local charities, including Many Mansions, Lighthouse Women and Children's Mission, Senior Concerns, MakeAWish Foundation, Assistance League, Camp Keepsake, Food Share, Malibu Pet Companions, Simi Valley Hospital, Universal Love Foundation, Optimist International Foundation/Santa Comes to Agoura, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Friends of Westlake Library, Temple Adat Elohim, Hospice of the Conejo, and Ride-On Therapeutic Horsemanship.
