Wells Fargo & Company has eliminated paper envelopes from

STOCKS Ventura and Santa Barbara counties can help reduce waste, save trees and reduce air pollutants with our new envelope-free ATMs," said Marla Vasquez, Wells Fargo Pacific Coast Community Banking president.

The company already has 1,450 envelopefree ATMs operating, which have processed approximately 40 million checks to date. According to estimates from the Environmental Defense Paper Calculator, 25 million paper envelopes, which equates to 125 tons of paper, have been saved by the installation of the new machines.

The new ATMs offer customers benefits such as faster ATM deposits, assurance that checks or cash have been received, proofpositive receipts, instant credit for cash deposits and same-day credit for check deposits.

Wells Fargo has been piloting envelope-free ATMs since 2002.
