Brownley heads schools committee

Julia Brownley PROMOTED- California Assembly Speaker Karen Bass has named 41st District legislator Julia Brownley chair of the Assembly's Education Committee. "As a 12-year school board member, I came to the Legislature to try and restore California's schools back to being the model of educational excellence for the nation," said Brownley, whose district includes Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Lake Sherwood, Oak Park and Westlake Village.
