      I am sure many people in Oak Park appreciate your information under Acorn Bits regarding another school bond issue for the November ballot. Many of us knew we paid "dearly" for the Oak Park schools, but did not know to what extent. You broke it down very nicely for us.

Likes smaller bond measure
      The Oak Park School District is to be commended for listening to the focus group, and scaling down its latest bond request (Measure R). As the state is threatening to reduce educational expenses- no cost of living adjustment is a reduction in financial support- local districts will have to be responsible for more of their expenses.
