Lindero student wins band award

BLOW YOUR HORN- Brian Tamsut, a trumpet player at Lindero Canyon Middle School, won the school's 2008 Band Award. Brian has played in Lindero's Cougar Band, Concert Band, Jazz B, Jazz A and Jazz Combo bands, and was recogized as a soloist at the Reno Jazz Festival and Westlake High Jazz Festival. He also received one of Lindero's Outstanding Soloist awards. Brian was taught by Lindero Canyon band director Matt McKagen, Jazz Combo director Matt Finders and instructors Les Lovitt and CeCe Worral-Rubin.
