Oak Park teacher loses her job

Brookside Elementary is a great school with awesome students and remarkable teachers, but just recently Ms. Cohen, a new fifth-grade teacher, lost her job at Brookside.

My name is Yael Karoly, and I was a fifth-grade student at Brookside. Ms. Cohen was my favorite teacher out of all my years at Brookside, which is why I am writing a petition to the district to give her the opportunity to give so many more fifth-graders the time of their lives.

I have sent e-mails to all of the fifth-graders, and now I have over 40 people standing beside me in this petition. I am sending a letter to the district to keep Ms. Cohen. We already have one fifth-grade teacher (Ms. Weaver) who retired, and we don't want Ms. Cohen to leave us as well. Yael Karoly Oak Park
