Pepperdine Arts Guild names new officers

LEADERSHIP TEAM- Members of Pepperdine's Arts Guild prepare for their new term in office. The Pepperdine University Center for the Arts Guild named its officers for 200809 at a luncheon held recently at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks.

Ellen Weitman was re-elected as president.

Other officers included Linda Beisswanger of Hidden Hills, vice president and co-chair of events; Susie Cowen and Sylvia Sherwood of Westlake Village, vice presidents and co-chairs of communications; Lynda Miller of Thousand Oaks, financier; and Karen Orefice of Thousand Oaks, vice president of advancement.

The Center for the Arts Guild, based on the main Pepperdine campus in Malibu and founded in 1991, is a group of community leaders who raise awareness and support for the fine arts at Pepperdine.
