Teens intern with festival

Ten local high school students have been selected as Rhodes Junior Apprentices for the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival.

The students are Caitlin Arndt and Max Lindgren from Thousand Oaks High School; Teza Belmond, Katie Massey, Ari Stidham and Jordan Stidham from Oak Park High School; Kristina Gabler from Westlake High School; Daniel Graff from Adolfo Camarillo High School; Robin Powell from Oak View High School and Patrick Rosenberg from Agoura High School.

During pre-show activities the teens will act from self-written scripts for children in Will's Corner, take part in the "Greenshow" pre-play entertainment with the Apprentice Company and lead Maypole dances.

The Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival performs "As You Like It" at 8 p.m. July 3, 5, 6 and 11 through 13, and "Henry IV: The Apprenticeship of Good Prince Hall" at 8 p.m. July 18 through 20, 25 through 27 and Aug. 1 through 3. Performances will be held in Kingsmen Park on the campus of California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

The grounds will open at 5:30 p.m. for picnicking and pre-show entertainment featuring music, dancing and improvisation.
