Temple members receive innovation award
      Six members of Congregation Or Ami in Calabasas recently received the Ner Ami (Light of My People) Innovator award for their participation in the synagogue's Henaynu Caring Community. The award recipients are past Henaynu Caring Community chairpeople Karen Harris, Marina Mann, Sheryl Braunstein, Marcy Cameron, Cris Epstein and Karen Freeman.

Local teens called to the Torah
      Chiara Wolff was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on March 29 at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks. She is the daughter of Susan and Richard Wolff of Westlake Village and a seventh grader at Colina Middle School. Jake Stanton was called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on April 5 at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks.
