Agoura Hills okays shops at Oak Creek
      A dispute between Adler Realty Investments Inc. and the city of Agoura Hills over the design of the Shops at Oak Creek development has been resolved. The Canwood Street commercial project, which the City Council approved on June 25, is adjacent to the 336-unit Oak Creek Apartments at Kanan Road and the 101 freeway.

Westlake Village approves biggest budget ever
      The Westlake Village City Council approved its largest budget ever last month. At $23.1 million, the 200809 operating budget, effective July 1, is nearly $5 million more than the previous budget. The higher figures are the result of inflation, rising program costs and capital improvement projects, city officials said.

History preservation group formed
      The Calabasas City Council approved the final nomination to the newly created Historic Preservation Committee. The majority of the council members had appointed their nominees- Judy Jordan, Kim Lamorie, Victor Pesiri, Taryn Wayne and Debra Bruschaber- in May.

Visitors enjoy Boys & Girls Club program
      Brothers Cinna, 14, and Goya, 13, recently attended the Boys & Girls Clubs of Conejo & Las Virgenes' summer program on their first day in America. The boys, who are of Iranian descent and lived in France and now Luxembourg, are visiting the United States for five weeks. The brothers participated in the camp's "Speed, Quickness and Agility" class.
