Local youngster sprints into record books

TOUGH TO CATCH- Grant Levesque breaks ahead of the pack at the Western League Finals in Canyon Country. Grant Levesque, a 7yearold from Old Agoura, set a new record in the 200-meter sprint at the Western League Finals at College of the Canyons.

Levesque's time of 33.04 seconds broke Jay Johnson's all-time best mark of 33.54, originally set in 1975.

In addition to his victory in the 200, Levesque also won the 100-meter dash and long jump events. He finished in 15.61 seconds in the 100 and posted a mark of 10 feet, 1 inch in the long jump.
