Golf Classic To Be Held

Prudential California Realty will hold their 23rd Annual Golf Classic. This year, it will be held on August 14th at the Moorpark Country Club.

According to Broker/owner Bob Majorino, "We believe that supporting our local schools will pay huge dividends and reaffirm our strong commitment to our local community.…The money raised from the tournament goes toward funding nine $1,500 college scholarship grants for dynamic, involved graduating seniors, one from each of nine local high schools."

The recipients are chosen for their support of their community, demonstration of leadership qualities and involvement in community activities. These seniors will each receive the Prudential California Realty "Spirit of the Community Award," along with a grant for $1,500 toward their first year of college.

Prudential is asking local businesses to get involved by becoming a sponsor and making a donation to help support this year's fund-raising efforts. Your company's name will be listed in the 2008 Prudential California Realty Golf Classic program and in the Ventura County Star as a contributor.

The tournament format includes the Callaway Scoring System, scramble, foursome team event, and gross and net prizes. The $195 registration fee includes: golf, goodie bag and special gift, 1/2 cart, continuous refreshments on the course, practice range balls, box lunch before shotgun start, buffet dinner, putting contest and team photo (dinner pick up).

The buffet dinner will be followed by a silent auction, raffle prizes, and dancing. If you are not a golfer but would like to join for the buffet, then a donation of $37.50 per person will secure a place at the table. Either way, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you are supporting a worthwhile community cause. Space is limited.
