      With gas prices going up every day and no end in sight, what can be done to help conserve gasoline? How much time do we sit waiting at stoplights, idling away that now expensive commodity, going nowhere, plus destroying the environment?

      Between laughing and crying, I was struck by your recent article about the proposed Agoura Village plan threatening species and the letter to the editor about Calabasas leadership. Without a doubt, the environmentalist loonies are keeping Agoura from prospering while preserving their own selfish interests living in their multimillion dollar Cornell area homes.

      I would like to heap praise on the staff and administration at AC Stelle Middle School where my son just finished the eighth grade. Although he had a great three years there under Mary Sistrunk and her fabulous teachers, the final day was a nightmare.

Be water wise
      Some people think that drinking water just comes from some river, lake or well and all that is done is to put in a little chlorine and pipe it to everybody's home. We think the water from our shower or toilet goes down the drain, gets some disinfection, and is sent to the ocean or a river.
