LoVEFest to help orphans in Africa

LoVEFest, a fundraising concert and silent auction benefiting AIDS-affected orphans at Lily of the Valley orphanages in South Africa, will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sun., June 29 at Gardens of the World, 2001 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

Entertainment will be provided by Christian recording artist Michelle Tumes. Other highlights include local contemporary Christian bands, food from local restaurants, a silent auction and opportunities to sponsor orphaned children.

Proceeds from LoVEFest will help build a third orphanage in a village near Kwazulu, South Africa, as well as educational, community and food parcel programs.

Local churches supporting LoVEFest this year include Conejo Valley Community Church, Calvary Community Church, Cornerstone Community Church, The Joshua Tree, Living Oaks, St. Paul Lutheran, Westminster Presbyterian, Westlake Lutheran, Gateway, Agoura Bible Fellowship, Northbound, St. Maximillian Kolbe, Epiphany and Vineyard Community Church.

Tickets are $35. Space is limited.
