Agoura Hills Boy Scout earns Eagle Scout rank

Cameron Kinney Cameron Kinney from Agoura High School was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at a May 13 recognition dinner at the Ronald Reagan Library.

Only 2 percent of the boys who enter Scouts are able to achieve the high ranking.

Kinney, from Explorer Crew No. 2766 and sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, rebuilt a fence at the Peter Strauss Ranch parking lot as part of his Eagle service project.

Highlights of his scout experience included the completion of a 50-hike in the High Sierra Mountains and camping on Catalina Island.
