At the Library

•The library will close at 23975 Park Sorrento on Thurs., June 26 to move to a new building at 200 Civic Center Way.

•A Civic Center grand opening ceremony and tours of the new library will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sun., July 13. The library will be open for regular business hours beginning Tues., July 15.

•The Summer Reading Program kickoff will be held Sat., July 19. Activities will include a performance by juggler David Cousin at 11 a.m., family story time with author Alva Sachs at 1 p.m. and Paws for Reading therapy dogs at 2 p.m.

•An anime movie for teens will be shown from 1 to 4 p.m. Sat., July 19. The movie is unrated. No one under age 12 will be admitted. Refreshments will be available.

•The Summer Reading Program will run from Sat., July 19 to Sun., Aug. 17.

•Wednesday events for children from kindergarten through fifth grade will be held at 4 p.m. beginning Wed., July 23. The schedule includes magician Tony Daniels on July 23, Gary Francisco's Wild West Show on July 30, Japanese Taiko drummers on Aug. 6 and an animal presentation from The Wildlife Company on Aug. 13.

•Story times for preschool children will continue on the regular schedule, with the following exceptions: Wendee's Musical Adventures will be held Fri., July 25 and Andy Glockenspiel will perform Fri., Aug. 15.

•A presentation for adults will be held at 4 p.m. Tues., July 29. Lili Singer from the Theodore Payne Foundation will highlight easytogrow, droughtresistant native plants.

•An anime movie for teens will be shown at 2 p.m. Sat., Aug. 9. The movie is rated PG13. Refreshments will be available.
