Tri-Valley honors top athletes

The Tri-Valley League has announced its All-League teams in baseball, softball, boys' tennis, boys' golf and boys' volleyball.

Here is a rundown of the local players who shined this spring:

Baseball

First team: Jake Hagen and Eric Columbia of Oak Park; Sean McCarthy of Oaks Christian.

Second team: Dave Whitaker and Trevor Cohen of Oak Park; Louis Vozzo and Matt Ramirez of Oak Park.

Honorable mention: Trent Hoberman, Cameron Dechene and Bryan Langlois of Oak Park; Brian Gose, Sheldon Ekstrand and Keegan Ferguson of Oaks Christian.

Softball

Most Valuable Players: Julia Rice and Jen Colquhoun of Oak Park.

First team: Sarah Rosenberg and Kathryn Klamecki of Oak Park; Valerie Ortega and Britt Sobieraj of Oaks Christian; Sarah Fox, Maija-Liisa Ehlinger, Alexandra Mogari and Byrnnne Buchanan of La Reina; Ashley Rice of Grace Brethren.

Second team: Brett Hall, Amanda Cox and Jenny Liepman of Oak Park; Alex Bates and Lauren Lindstrom of Oaks Christian; Kaitlynne Birkett and Allie Martin of La Reina; Bryanna Hardy and Kassy Dunn of Grace Brethren.

Honorable mention: Alison James and Rose Zeolla of Oak Park; Lindsey Jue De Vine, Kasey Elliot and Amanda Lee of Oaks Christian; Taylor Yamek, Makenna Cox and Cecilia Elias of La Reina; Rhianna Topp of Grace Brethren.

Boys' golf Coach of the Year: Bruce Beck of Oak Park.

Second team: Ryan Prosser, Chase Whiddon and Ty Gretzky of Oaks Christian.

Boys' tennis

Doubles Team of the Year: Eric Hawkins and Michael Lee of Oaks Christian.

Coach of the Year: Stephan Abraham of Oaks Christian.

First team singles: Sean Levesque and Jack Sanford of Oaks Christian.

Second team singles: Josh Gottlieb of Oak Park.

Second team doubles: Cody Goodmen and Jonathan Dodge of Oaks Christian

Boys' volleyball

Coach of the Year: Patrick Quinn of Oak Park.
