Oaks has stellar year

Interscholastic athletic competition for the member schools of the CIF-Southern Section came to an exciting close for the 2007-08 school year.

During the past year, the CIFSS awarded 137 divisional team championships in 23 varsity sports.

Topping the list of schools with multiple team titles for the year is Oaks Christian, which captured five divisional championships.

In the fall, the Lions' football team claimed the Northwest Division crown. In the winter, Oaks Christian took home the Division V boys' and girls' soccer titles. And, in the spring, OCHS claimed a title in boys' volleyball and boys' swimming.

Viewpoint finished in second with four titles each. The Patriots took home titles in the sports of girls' tennis, baseball, softball and boys' volleyball.
