West gets best of East in County All-Star Game
      Paper beats rock. Rock beats scissors. Scissors beats paper. Camarillo High's Kevin Ball apparently beats them all. At the 11th annual Jim Parker Ventura County Baseball All-Star Game last Sunday, Westlake High's Zach Miller, coach of the East, decided to determine his starting lineup by games of paperrock-scissors among his players.

      Interscholastic athletic competition for the member schools of the CIF-Southern Section came to an exciting close for the 2007-08 school year. During the past year, the CIFSS awarded 137 divisional team championships in 23 varsity sports.

Eagles pole vaulting squad soars to new heights
Record-breaking season enjoyed
      It was a good track and field season this spring for Oak Park High pole vaulting. With 17 athletes on the squad, it was the largest pole vaulting team at Oak Park since the sport was resurrected five years ago following a 10-year absence.

Baseball, softball and soccer teams earn top honors
     DOGS' HOUSE- The Bulldogs from Agoura AYSO won the Area Section 10 soccer championship and finish first at the California State Championships. In May, they took home three more titles.
