Chamber honors seniors

Nithya Nambiar The Agoura/Oak Park/ Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce awarded two scholarships to Agoura High students Nithya Nambiar and Colin Davis at the AHS Senior Awards ceremony held at the school recently.

The $1,000 scholarships are given yearly in memory of the Chamber's past executive director Patricia Soteras, who helped build the Chamber from 200 to more than 1,000 members.

Soteras' son Alex Soteras, director of the United Chambers of Commerce, presented the awards to the students, along with Agoura High Principal Larry Misel.

"The Agoura Chamber has been a great supporter of our school programs and students for many years," said Misel.

Nithya Nambiar will attend UC Santa Barbara in the fall and major in biology with a career goal of becoming a physician. Colin Davis is the son of Westlake Village City Councilmember Ned Davis.
