Disagrees with proposed RV parking ordinance

In response to your article of May 22, "Calabasas tunes up its RV law," the city of Calabasas is trying to pass a new 24-hour street parking ordinance. A DMV 72hour street parking restriction already exists.

This ordinance would require a person to obtain a permit to load or off load a recreational vehicle within 24 hours. Most people agree that is not enough time, especially for seniors.

In order to enforce this type of ordinance, DMV Code 22507 requires the city to install no parking signs throughout the city of Calabasas. It may also require more code enforcement personnel. All of this will be funded with your tax dollars.

Do you want a no parking sign in your parkway? Do you want your tax dollars spent for no parking signs and additional code enforcement? If not, contact the city of Calabasas at 878-4225 and show your displeasure before they pass another one of their ridiculous ordinances. Frank Coley Calabasas
