Agoura teams dominate Mud Run

Two teams comprising five Agoura High School cross country runners each recently competed in the Civilian Men's Team Division of the 2008 Camp Pendleton Mud Run, a 10K run and obstacle course held in San Diego at the Marine base.

The upperclassmen team Mud Studs finished first with a time of 50:27. Evan Fehler was the captain. Runners included Adam Brosh, Perry Casey, Brandon Severson and Cameron Thomas.

The Aquamen underclassmen team finished third with a time of 51:55. The captain was Bryan Quintanilla. Team members were Aaron Argiso, Max Byer, Eric Schwartz and Ben Wolhaupter.

During the Mud Run, contestants run through such obstacles as waist-deep rivers, tires, mud pits, and tunnels, as well as climb 6-foot walls and crawl under flags. Runners are also periodically sprayed with fire hoses during the race.
