Vendor aps available for upcoming OktoberFest

Food and craft vendor applications are available for the 22nd annual Oktoberfest scheduled for Sat. and Sun., Sept. 27 and 28 at Underwood Family Farms, 3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark.

The event is presented by the Rotary Club of Newbury Park.

Oktoberfest draws more than 8,000 people over a weekend.

"Our food court is almost at capacity but we could can still fit in one or two more booths," said Mary-Catherine McBride, Oktoberfest chair. "We also have a limited number of craft vendor spaces available." Oktoberfest activities include a petting zoo, a giant corn slingshot, pickyourown pumpkins and vegetables, free hayrides, corn maize, German bands and dance troupes.

New this year is "International Stage," featuring the music, costumes and dance of cultures from around the world including Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
