Troop 722 names four Eagle Scouts

Flahie and Todd M. Rackohn of Westlake Village and Kenichi Sugai of Oak Park received their Eagle Scout awards in a ceremony on June 6 at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Thousand Oaks.
The awards were presented by Scoutmaster Al Reinhardt.
Special presentations were made by Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks and Thousand Oaks Mayor Pro Tem Thomas Glancy.
Faltemier, Flahie, Rackohn and Sugai are members of Oak Park Troop 722, sponsored by the Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park.
Faltemier served as senior patrol leader, troop guide, scribe and patrol leader in his four years with Troop 722. He also earned 36 merit badges and is a member of the Order of the Arrow.
For his Eagle leadership project, Faltemier led a group of Scouts and adults to paint door safety stripes and build a rock garden at Colina Middle School.
Faltemier participated in Cub Scout Pack 3776 at Westlake Hills Elementary School, where he earned the Arrow of Light in 2004, Cub Scouting's highest award prior to joining Boy Scouts.
Faltemier is a ninth-grader at Westlake High School and the son of Sharon and Jim Faltemier.
Flahie served as a troop instructor, chaplain's aide, librarian, scribe and patrol leader in his three years with Troop 722. He also earned 26 merit badges and performed more than 150 hours of community service.
For his Eagle leadership project, Flahie and 28 other Scouts and their parents refurbished two bridges on the nature trail at the Stagecoach Inn Museum.
Flahie earned the Arrow of Light in 2005 as a member of Cub Scout Pack 3776 at Westlake Hills Elementary.
Flahie is an eighth-grader at Viewpoint School in Calabasas and the son of Jan and Tom Flahie.
Rackohn served as an assistant senior patrol leader, librarian and patrol leader in his seven years with Troop 722. He also earned 34 merit badges, is a member of the Order of the Arrow and will attend UCLA in the fall.
Rackohn lead a group of Scouts and adults to paint door safety stripes and plant bushes at Westlake Hills Elementary School for his Eagle leadership project.
Rackohn participated in Cub Scout Pack 3776 at Westlake Hills Elementary School, where he earned the Arrow of Light in 2001.
He is a senior at Viewpoint School and the son of Judy and Craig Rackohn.
Sugai served as senior patrol leader and assistant senior patrol leader in his two years with Troop 722. He also earned 24 merit badges and attended the 13th Nippon Jamboree in Osaka, Japan. He will attend Moorpark College in the fall.
For Sugai's leadership project, he lead a group of Scouts and adults to build a soil erosion prevention wall at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church.
Sugai participated in Cub Scout Pack 379 in Little Tokyo. He is a senior at Oak Park High School and the son of Sachiko and Kunio Sugai.
