Symphony searches for sponsors

New West Symphony will present the eighth annual gala Symphony of Wine VIII dinner and wine auction at 3 p.m. Sun., Sept. 21 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village.

The fundraiser will feature a four-course dinner with dishes prepared by internationallytrained executive chefs from top restaurants led by the executive chef of the Westlake Village Four Seasons. The meal will be complemented by wines selected from award-winning vineyards.

The live and silent auctions will include wines that can only be obtained at Symphony of Wine, luxury vacations and other exotic items.

This year's event will honor Bob Long of Napa's Long Vineyards, founded in 1977.

Over the years, the event has raised more than $1 million to date for the symphony's youth programs. Of the monies raised, 93 percent of the funds go directly to the music programs.

Sponsorships are available for the event. Depending on the level, sponsorships include tickets, prominent business recognition at the event and in press materials and a pretasting opportunity with event committee members.

Purchases made at the auction are taxdeductible for winning bidders.

The cost of the gala is $275 per person, and seating is limited to 300 guests.
