Doulton Tour Visits Area

Michael Doulton, ambassador for Royal Doulton, makers of fine china products, will meet with collectors and sign their pieces from noon to 4 p.m. Sun., June 8 at the Royal Doulton Company Store, Camarillo Premium Outlets, 740 Ventura Blvd., Ste. 530, Camarillo.

For almost 200 years, Royal Doulton has specialized in fine tableware, glassware, ceramic giftware and collectable figurines. Through its three brands- Minton, Royal Doulton and Royal Albert- as well as co-branded initiatives Monique Lhuillier, Terence Conran and Gordon Ramsey, the company offers traditional patterns and new classics with a modern flair.

Michael Doulton serves as the company's traveling ambassador and the honorary president of the Royal Doulton International Collectors Club. He is a descendant of John Doulton, the company founder.

The collectors club includes thousands of members throughout the world who look forward to meeting Michael Doulton at appearances in retail stores.

Doulton has 30 years of experience as the company ambassador. With his product knowledge he enlightens collectors seeking information about new and discontinued pieces. His yearly international tour includes face-to-face meetings which let collectors share their stories and also have their collectables autographed by Doulton.

Doulton's tour includes stops in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Australia. The company promotes Doulton's tour schedule through the Gallery Magazine, a publication mailed to club members four times a year.
