Patriot softball squad in final; baseball team to replay semifinal
      With a 10-0 victory over Victor Valley Christian on Tuesday, the Viewpoint softball team is headed to the CIF-Southern Section Division V championship game against Liberty League rival Faith Baptist. The Patriots, who are 18-5 this season, will play Saturday at Deanna Manning Stadium in Irvine with game time set for 3:30 p.m.

Top track and field athletes will return to Cerritos College this weekend

      A handful of local track and field stars competed last Friday at Cerritos College in the CIF Masters meet. Thanks to several strong performances, many will return to the same venue Friday and Saturday in pursuit of a state championship.

Agoura finishes second at state club lacrosse finals
      Agoura Lacrosse finished its season with a record of 13-2 and was rated No. 1 for Southern California club lacrosse teams for 2008. As a result of its top SoCal rating, Agoura was invited to the High School Lacrosse State Championships in Novato during Memorial Day weekend.
