Sign up for Girl Scout day camp

Las Virgenes Service Unit, a division of the San Fernando Valley Girl Scout Council, has opened registration for the 19th annual summer day camp.

The camp will be held from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Mon. through Fri., July 7 to 11 at Chumash Park, 5550 Medea Valley Drive, Agoura Hills.

Girls ages 5 to 18 are invited to attend, including those who are not registered Girl Scouts. Girls over 13 years old are considered senior aides and are given the opportunity to assist in leading the younger girls.

Camp activities include songs, games and crafts. Girls are divided into separate groups based on their upcoming grade level. Each day has activities designed around a specific theme. The week culminates in a presentation for the parents where each group showcases a skit they created.
