Honor students graduate from Moorpark College

Nearly 300 students attended the Moorpark College Commencement held on the Campus Center Quad on May 15.

The 2007-08 graduating class numbered 1,217 students. Of these students, 317 graduated in fall 2007 and 200 graduated at the end of summer session 2007.

The following are local students who graduated with a grade-point average of 4.0.

Agoura Hills: Brandon Carney.

Calabasas: Kathryn Kitchin.

Camarillo: Yelena Lacey, Lynn Dee Plantenberg

Moorpark: Melissa Leigh Chandler, Kerri Grace Rothell

Newbury Park: Anthony Johnson, Anna Grace Kitabjian

Simi Valley: Melissa Diane Moore, Brian Priestley, Bonnie Jo Schaefer, Karen ShumakerGutierrez, Minal Sonune.

Thousand Oaks: Weimin Qiu, Katherine Sinnett-Smith,

Westlake Village: Michael James Seidenberg.

Most of the graduates earned an associate of arts or science degree. Certificates in occupational programs were awarded to 85 students.
